Forward a phone number (DID) using Flowroute Manage

This article describes creating a new route and setting that route as the number to forward any or all of your Flowroute telephone numbers to.

To forward a telephone number using a route, you must first create a routing profile, then apply the profile to DID(s).

Create Routing Profile:
  1. Log on to Flowroute Manage.
  2. On the menu, click Interconnection, and then click Inbound Routes.
  3. The Inbound Routes page appears, displaying the list of current routes on your account, if any.

  4. In the Add New Route field, enter the following information

    • Alias is for your reference (ex. My Cellphone)

    • Select Phone Number as route type

    • Then, enter your phone number you'd like to forward your DID(s)image.png

NOTE: Enter the phone number using an E.164 format, which is 1+area code+phone number, with no spaces between the numbers. For example, 12065551234.

5. Click Add Route

You have now successfully created routing profile for your phone number.

Now, you will need to apply the routing profile to your DID(s).

Apply Inbound Route to DID:
  1. Click the DIDS menu. The Manage your DIDs page appears.

  2. In the check box to the left of the DID column, select each of the DIDs you want to forward to a route.

NOTE: In addition to selecting individual DIDs, you can also select all DIDs displayed on that page, by clicking the check box to the left of the DID column header. You can then optionally select all DIDs you own and not just those displayed on the page.

  3. Click Choose a DID Action, and then click Set Route

  4. Click Apply Action

The Set Route page appears, displaying the routes for which the Set Route action will be applied.

  5. From the Search for a route... drop-down list box, and select the route you added above:

  6. Click Set Route

The Set Route page closes, returning you to the Manage your DIDs page. A confirmation message at the top of the page confirms that the DID(s) you selected are now forwarded to the selected route.
