Set an Outbound Caller ID in the 3 CX 12 Telephone System

This guide describes setting up outbound caller ID on 3CX in a Windows environment using 3CX version 12. 

To set the outbound caller ID in 3CX 12
  1. Open the 3CX Phone System Management Console.
  2. In the left-hand navigation pane, click VoIP Providers.      
  3. From the expanded VoIP Providers menu, select the Flowroute Trunk for which you want to set up outbound caller ID. 

    The Edit VoIP Provider - Flowroute Trunk Name page appears. 

  4. On the Edit VoIP Provider - Flowroute Trunk Name page, click Outbound Parameters

    The Contents of SIP fields page displays, as shown in the following example:

  5. On the Contents of SIP fields page, select the following SIP Field and Variable drop-down list box values:  

    • From the SIP Field drop-down list box, select From: User Part

    • From the Variable drop-down list box, select OutboundCallerId

    • Click Add/Update

    • Click Apply.

Once these settings are set, your outbound caller ID is pulled from the value found under each extension, which can be located at Other > User Information > Outbound Caller ID.
